An Exceptional Set of Six Cobalt Glazed and Hand Decorated in Gold and Enamel. Each Plate has a Hand Painted Coat of Arms of French Royalty of the 16th Century. The Reverse of Each Plate is Marked A. Peaudecerf (peau de cerf), Tours, France . The plates Also Have an Impressed Mark (Battle Axe) Under the Cobalt Glaze and the Number 3. The Titles of these Plates Written in Gold on the Front or Reverse are Anne De Bretagne, (two Different Coats of Arms), Louis XII, Francois I, Claude De France (Candida Candidis), Touraine. Each Plate Has a Fluted Edge and Measures 9.25" in Diameter
